The Tessera Blue Dyed Bone Inlay Console Table explores the relationship between geometric ornamentation and contemporary furniture design. Inspired by traditional mosaic compositions, its surface brings together repeating squares, diagonal borders and variations of blue, creating a layered interplay of pattern, colour and texture.
Individually cut pieces of natural and blue dyed bone are arranged into a mosaic of irregular squares and geometric formations. The tabletop features a framed composition of intersecting diagonal bands, while subtle variations in cobalt, indigo and pale blue introduce depth and movement across the decorative surface.
The rectangular body rests within a slender brass-finished metal structure, contrasting the intricate inlay with clean architectural lines. Its open framework and continuous lower rail establish a sense of visual lightness, allowing the patterned surface to remain prominent.
Part of the Tessera Collection, this console brings together traditional inlay techniques, contemporary geometry and expressive material detailing.
