The Nova Armchair is a contemporary reinterpretation of the iconic Chandigarh Chair, originally designed by Swiss architect Pierre Jeanneret in the 1950s. This re-edition introduces bold black and ivory resin inlay to the celebrated modernist design, creating a distinctive dialogue between architectural heritage and contemporary craftsmanship.
The chair retains the characteristic angular silhouette, featuring signature V-shaped supports, straight armrests and balanced proportions. Precisely arranged resin inlay stripes follow the frame, forming an optical composition of intersecting horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines that create rhythm and visual movement.
Natural woven cane forms the seat and backrest, introducing warmth, texture and visual lightness against the graphic monochrome structure. The contrast between geometric resin detailing and organic cane gives the chair its distinctive character.
Individually made by skilled artisans, Nova celebrates Jeanneret's enduring design language through expressive surface patterns, natural textures and contemporary material exploration.
